Not everyone enjoys working out. Not everyone enjoys running and not everyone has the time to invest trying to get into shape. The typical Indian household is a pretty busy place, as it involves grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, and in some cases tutoring the kids and taking care of them. In all of this, making the time to work out seems near impossible. This blog is focused on those who are looking to improve their quality of life, whilst managing their households as well.

Take the steps and walk:

We've all grown accustomed to using the elevators in our buildings, as it's convenient, not tiring and fast. Climbing the stairs helps strengthen your lower body, can reduce lower back pain as it strengthens the glutes and hamstrings, helps burn fats as well. So the next time you want to get back home, use the stairs instead. If you want to purchase groceries, then walk to your destination rather than using a vehicle. It will not only help you get fitter but is also good for the environment.

Do not sit in one place for too long:

Studies have shown that first, you spend most of your day seated, then chances are that you will have a heart attack. As humans, we are not engineered to sit, and staying in a seated position makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body. So make it a point to get up every 30-45 minutes and take strolls inside the house only, if you must. Just don't stay static for too long.

Cut down screen time:

Another lifestyle change that needs to be changed almost immediately is the amount of time you spend on your gadgets. Not only are they bad for your eyesight, but since you're using them in a bent forward position, it puts your shoulders in an internally rotated position, rolls your upper back forward, and causes you to slouch. This can affect your posture in the medium to the long run and will cause back pains.

Avoid Binge eating:

As humans, we tend to overeat whenever we're stressed out and 9 out of 10 times we will binge eat something unhealthy. If you're feeling stressed out then try sipping on some water, or go for a walk or take a nap if you must. Several studies have shown a link between Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, a spike in cholesterol levels when you snack unhealthy. If you are looking for healthy snack options then you can choose a HYP Protein bar, HYP Protein cookies, nuts, and seeds, or even a fiber-packed apple.

Get sufficient shut eye:

Humans need to sleep for 8-9 hours a day to recover and if you are unable to get sufficient sleep for whatever your reasons may be, then studies have linked various cardiac complications to a lack of sleep. Besides, lack of sleep causes the formation of sacks under your eyes and dark circles, will make you feel exhausted upon waking up and will leave your energy levels low throughout the day and feeling irritable as well.

By implementing the above-mentioned tips, you should see a marked improvement in your overall health.
